During the pandemic, there was a global notion that times were increasingly difficult and the importance of mental health was as strong as ever. Before the ‘You Alright Mate’ Nike Air Max 95’s were created, I started a passion project, designing these A2 posters and sending out to friends/family and people who I personally knew who were having a tough time. For every poster sent, £5 was donated to MIND to help futher help those who needed those services. Giving back to charities, especially in the mental health sector, means a lot to me and it’s something I try to incorporate in every passion project, or donate too when I can.
Soon after the above posters were released and the first batch were sent out, LAW MAGAZINE started a design competition, in which creatives were to design a poster and the winning designs would be printed and sold through LAW MAGAZINE, with donations added to every poster purchase. Using one of my designs I tweaked it to feel more relatable to the wider public, by using bright colours and relatable copy.
